Shirley Windmill spent many years surrounded by the
John Ruskin Grammar School,
which now has a page on the mill, including a number of historical photographs.
Elsewhere on the site, there's other mentions of the mill, including the recollection that on 1st April 1971, the Upper Sixth advertised
the
"mill for sale with staff and groundsman"
in The Times.
