Flour mills
The cause of the infamous libel case, which bankrupted Joseph Partington.
A history and description of Partington's Windmill in Symonds St, Auckland
"This booklet was written as a history project when the author was a teacher trainee at the Auckland Teachers' College, Epsom"
This 20 page cheaply produced A4 sized publication, subtitled "windmills for home, farm, and cottage industry" contains mostly cartoon like diagrams with handwritten and typeset text. The mills photographed on the front and rear covers, and shown via hand drawn illustrations inside, are ones that the author (a boatbuilder by trade) built on his Coromandel property, to support his off-grid lifestyle.
