Windmills of Cabo de Gata, Spain

Cabo de Gata is a "Natural Park" on the Eastern coast of Andalucia.

Within the undeveloped landscape of the park, there are remains of quite a few windmills.

Cortijada Los Cerrillos

Roofed and conserved tower, in the gardens of a villa.

Fernan Perez

Tower, with windshaft and brake wheel visible above.

Las Negras

Two now unroofed towers, no machinery.

Playa de Los Genoveses, San Jose

Roofed tower, retaining internal machinery, and remnants of sails.

Internally, steps from group floor removed, but first floor largely in place. Windshaft carries brake wheel, which drives a single pair of stones via a metal banded wooden lantern nut.
